Sheltering in Place

Dear Pasatiempo Homeowners,

We hope that, during this difficult time, you are staying healthy. We’d like to remind you of a couple of issues that have been brought to our attention.

Given the updated March 31, 2020 County of Santa Cruz’s Shelter in Place order in response to COVID-19, we want to update you on the County Health Services Agency directive with respect to outdoor recreation. Paraphrasing from this order, use of shared facilities for recreational activities outside of residences, including golf courses, must be closed for recreational purposes. Sheriff Jim Hart, has interpreted this to include walkers. The Pasatiempo Golf Course is following this directive and has increased their presence on the course.  As outlined in this County order, please note that failure to comply could result in fines, etc.

The Pasatiempo Golf Course is not open for any use, whether you are a member, homeowner, guest or a dog walker. Walking or playing on the paths or greens is not permitted at anytime.

In addition, all public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a single household or living unit are prohibited.

To report violations of the Shelter in Place order, please call the hotline:  831-454-7747.

We have a wonderful community, with wide streets, that can accommodate recreational activities outside. Please be respectful and mindful of all while outside so we can keep safe and healthy. This includes walkers, bike riders, golf cart drivers, children on scooters, etc.   Since we are all practicing social distancing, please remember there are still vehicles on the road and be aware they can be coming around the corner and are unaware that you’re ahead of them.   Please remember dogs must be on leashes at all times.

Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe in these trying times.
