Evacuation Order - CZU Lightning Complex Wildfire

Like many communities in the area, Pasatiempo is under mandatory evacuation order. An evacuation order is a lawful order for residents to leave immediately and it means the area is lawfully closed to public access. Therefore, please understand that all non-emergency services to the area is prohibited. These services include deliveries (such as postal, UPS, FedEx, newspapers, etc.), landscaping, and First Alarm neighborhood patrols to name a few.

To everyone who has evacuated, thank you for heeding the call and we hope that you are safe. Please do not return to any of the evacuated zones. From the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office:

Fire is not the only threat when going back into an evacuation zone.

Downed trees, wires and other debris can be extremely dangerous. This also presents a threat to our first responders.

We understand the want to protect your property and home, many of our staff have homes in the evacuated areas too and are directly impacted, but your life is more important.

Please stay out, for your safety and ours.

For the best, most up to date available information, please refer to the social media and websites of CalFire, Santa Cruz County Sheriff, local news organizations, and government agencies. For your convenience, we have included some links below:

We want to re-emphasize that you, the homeowners, and not the Homeowners Association, are responsible for the security of your home and your personal property. Santa Cruz County Sheriff is doing their best to ensure the security of evacuated areas with hard road closures and patrols through evacuated areas. First Alarm will resume neighborhood patrols in Pasatiempo once it is deemed safe to do so and allowed by Santa Cruz County authorities.

Please know, we understand that this is a challenging, stressful and emotional time for everyone. We hope everyone and their loved ones stay safe during this unprecedented event.

Our deepest gratitude to the first responders for their efforts in protecting our lives and property under these most challenging circumstances.
